Zopper is a series D-funded startup in the insurtech space. We enable large B2C businesses to offer insurance to their customers. We do this by fusing insurance and technology seamlessly to provide end-to-end solutions to our Business partners. Based on the need of Business Partner, we create the Product i.e. customised insurance plans by partnering with Insurance companies. We then integrate these customised Insurance plans with the tech systems of the Business partners by creating customised APIs on our SAAS platform.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact Business Development Manager who can drive strategic growth by building partnerships with banks, financial institutions, and insurance ecosystem players. The individual will be responsible for identifying opportunities, engaging with decision-makers, shaping business proposals, driving commercial discussions, and closing deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end business development with banks, financial institutions, and insurance ecosystem partners.
- Identify and engage with relevant stakeholders across partner organizations to build and develop new business relationships.
- Understand partner requirements and position appropriate technology-led solutions accordingly.
- Pitch SaaS platforms, AI-enabled solutions, and technology capabilities to senior stakeholders.
- Develop business proposals, commercial structures, and solution presentations tailored to partner needs.
- Lead commercial negotiations and partnership discussions to close deals.
- Coordinate internally with product, technology, and operations teams to shape partner-ready solutions.
- Manage the complete deal lifecycle from opportunity identification to closure.
- Track market developments and identify new business opportunities within the financial services ecosystem.
Prerequisties
- 6–8 years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, partnerships, or solution sales.
- Prior experience working with banks, insurers, NBFCs, or financial services organizations will be strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of technology platforms, SaaS ecosystems, AI-enabled solutions, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong ability to create proposals, solution decks, and commercial discussions.
- Proven capability in stakeholder management, business pitching, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders and leading consultative business conversations.
- Willingness to travel extensively for partner meetings and business development initiatives.
