About the role
You will be working on mechanical CAD design, simulations of products which go into electric
vehicles. You will be coordinating with electrical H/W engineers to integrate PCBs and wiring.
Key responsibilities:
● Perform CAD modeling and iteration of product designs
● Perform FEA simulations to optimize mechanical and thermal performance of products
● Apply fundamental mechanical engineering principles along with testing data to improve
designs
● Fabrication of prototypes for design validation and testing
● Creation of engineering drawings to be shared with vendors
● Maintaining design and production documentation according to industry norms..
Required Qualifications:
● Good understanding of basic physics and mechanical engineering concepts
● Knowledge and hands-on experience on CAD tools
● Understanding of basic GD&T.
● Knowledge and hands on experience of FEA tools like ansys
● Sound knowledge and practical experience of mechanical fabrication processes
● Understanding of product design lifecycle, including FMEA and DFM
Good to have skills:
● Knowledge of 3D printing and experience of slicing software
● Knowledge of quality processes implemented during manufacturing
