About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with around 5 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance matters. The role involves end-to-end ownership of accounting operations, statutory and tax compliance, and coordination with auditors, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Manage and review day-to-day accounting, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely monthly/quarterly/yearly closure of accounts.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in line with Ind AS/IGAAP.
  • Monitor fixed assets, provisions, and depreciation schedules.
Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
  • Oversee preparation and filing of GST returns, TDS returns, Income Tax returns, and other statutory filings.
  • Prepare tax workings, reconciliations, and support for assessments/notices.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
Statutory & Internal Audits
  • Act as the primary contact for statutory, internal, and tax auditors.
  • Prepare audit schedules, provide documentation, and ensure timely closure of audits.
  • Address audit observations and implement corrective measures.
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure adherence to Companies Act, FEMA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation, registers, and statutory records.
  • Implement and strengthen internal financial controls.
Process Improvements
  • Drive automation and process efficiency in accounting and compliance areas.
  • Support ERP/accounting software upgrades and best practice implementation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Ind AS/IGAAP, Direct & Indirect Taxation, and Corporate Law compliances.
  • Hands-on experience in managing audits and statutory filings.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally/SAP/Oracle or similar).
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under deadlines.
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional and auditor coordination.
