About the role

We are looking for a Conversational Linguistic Expert who will own and improve how our Voice AI bot speaks in vernacular languages. This role sits at the intersection of Language, QA, AI Prompting, and Product.
The individual will be directly accountable for ensuring the AI bot:
  • Sounds natural and human-like
  • Uses daily spoken language, not textbook translations
  • Follows real conversation patterns similar to experienced call-centre agents
This is not a pure content-writing role. It is a hands-on conversational quality and language ownership role.

What you'll do?

Conversational Ownership (Core Accountability)
  • Own end-to-end conversational quality of the Voice AI bot
  • Ensure bot language reflects Natural speech, Local dialect, Human pacing and tone

Script Writing & Language Localization

  • Write, rewrite, and improve vernacular scripts (Kannada / Telugu)
  • Convert base scripts into Spoken, customer-friendly language, Contextual, culturally appropriate phrasing
  • Continuously refine Greetings, Objection handling, Probing questions, Closings and confirmations

AI Prompt & Flow Collaboration

  • Work closely with AI Prompt Writers, Conversational Designers & Product Managers
  • Help translate language nuances into Prompt Logic, Flow Design & Turn-taking and pause behaviour
  • Suggest improvements to Sentence length, Follow-up phrasing, & Emotional softeners and fillers

QA Feedback & Call Audits

  • Listen to AI bot calls regularly and identify robotic or unnatural language
  • Analyse QA feedback and call outcomes
  • Convert QA insights into Script improvements, Prompt updates & Training inputs for the AI model

Continuous Improvement & Metrics

  • Run a continuous feedback loop: Call audit > Rewrite > Retrain
  • Partner with QA and Product to reduce drop-offs caused by language issues
  • Improve call engagement and completion
  • Track and improve conversational quality metrics

What We're looking For:

  • Strong spoken and written proficiency in Kannada and/or Telugu
  • Deep understanding of Spoken vs written language differences
  • Regional dialects and daily usage
  • Prior experience in BPO / Call Centre, QA / Training / Script writing roles
  • Ability to listen to calls and explain why something sounds robotic
  • Comfortable working with tech, AI, and product teams

Preferred Background (Nice to Have)

  • Ex-Agent > QA > Trainer career progression
  • Experience working with Voice bots
  • Conversational AI
  • IVR or tele-calling workflows
  • Exposure to BFSI / Insurance / Sales calling
