About this role
We are looking for a dynamic and performance-driven Team Lead (Health - TDL) to manage and scale a team of insurance sales agents. The TL will be responsible for ensuring achievement of sales targets, driving agent productivity, maintaining compliance standards, and creating a high-performance culture in a remote-first setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management & Coaching
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 10–12 health insurance sales agents.
Conduct daily huddles, call monitoring, and 1:1 coaching sessions to drive agent performance.
Support new hires during ramp-up and ensure smooth transition from training to production.
- Sales & Performance Delivery
Own and deliver on sales targets for the Health LOB.
Track agent KPIs (login adherence, sales conversions, DRR, AHT, etc.) and intervene proactively.
Drive adherence to scripts, dispositions, and compliance guidelines.
- Process & Quality Control
Monitor live calls (barge-in/whisper) and provide real-time support to agents.
Ensure compliance with IRDAI guidelines and internal audit standards.
Partner with Quality and Training teams to address process gaps and improve sales readiness.
- Reporting & Escalation
Maintain daily/weekly performance trackers and share reports with management and client SPOCs.
Handle escalations from agents/customers and ensure timely resolution.
Work closely with Assistant Team Leads (ATLs) for live support and productivity management.
- Engagement & Retention
Build a culture of ownership, discipline, and performance among agents.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in AI Implementation, Product Management, Strategy Consulting, or Solutions Engineering ideally in AI-native companies or adjacent domains.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and shape AI agent design & prompt writing
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you help shape solutions as much as you deliver them.
- (Preferred) Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: commerce/management/insurance).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in telesales, out of which 1–2 years in insurance sales (health insurance preferred).
- Prior experience managing a team of sales agents (BPO/Insurance sales environment).
- Strong communication, coaching, and analytical skills.
