About the role

About the AI Pod

We’re building AI Banker, not a chatbot, not a dashboard, not a support tool.

This is a proactive, context-aware financial intelligence layer that sits alongside every user and helps them make better decisions with their money in real time.

Think: • Systems that understand user behavior deeply • Systems that act before the user asks • Systems that continuously learn and adapt

This is backend engineering at the edge of AI, not just serving APIs, but building intelligence into systems.

What you'll do

• Build and scale backend systems powering AI-driven financial experiences.
• Design low-latency, high-throughput services that interact with ML/AI systems.
• Work on event-driven architectures and real-time decisioning systems.
• Collaborate closely with AI/ML, data, and product teams to productionize intelligence.
• Own systems end-to-end from design → deployment → iteration.
• Solve for context management, orchestration, and system reliability at scale.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of strong backend engineering experience.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, system design, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience building scalable APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and performance tuning.
• Experience with event-driven systems / async processing / streaming (Kafka, etc.).
• Exposure to AWS and containerized deployments.

Nice to have

• You’ve worked on systems with real-time decisioning or personalization.
• You’ve built platforms, not just features.
• You understand how to integrate backend systems with ML/AI workflows.
• You’re curious about LLMs, agentic systems, or AI infra (even if not an expert yet).
• You think in systems, not endpoints.
• Why this role is different: you’re not building features — you’re building financial intelligence; you’ll work on problems where backend meets cognition; you’ll help define what AI-first banking looks like in India.
